History of ExCEL Fest

MOE ExCEL Fest first began as a WITs (Work Improvement Teams) Day in 1997 for MOE staff to celebrate the spirit of continuous improvement. In 2001, the event was renamed MOE ExCEL Day to reflect the focus of the Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) spirit in our schools and people.

The event became a festival (MOE ExCEL Fest, as it is known today) in 2005 when the organisers invited parents and the public to join in the event for the first time. MOE ExCEL Fest today is a much anticipated event on the education calendar and visitorship has grown tremendously over the years.
